I am a professional in the higher education industry with 9 years experience in financial aid with last 5 years in Directorship position. I also have a masters in management. I do not expect to be given anythings. I work very hard and I have an exemplory work history. I have been in this area for 5 months and have had nothing but doors slammed in my face. I know the condition of the economy, however it has been my experience that jobs are available- but it seems like employers or gate people are using these trap and trick techniques to weed out candidates. It is crazy. I have had so called "professionals" flat out lie to me about positions. If anyone knows of a good place that could appreciate my knowledge, skill and integrity let me know.
