I don't know how the City of Tucson can say the average pay is $25,000 a year for a security guard. I've worked here in the security field sence the 80's. and I can tell you the Security Supervisors are "lucky" to make that much. The average pay for the guards is $8.50 to $10.00. To all those who come here thinking of GOOD Pay, think again. Phoenix averages $1.50 to $2.25 more an hour for the same position and sometimes the same company. What's funny about the whole thing, Is that Tucson has beat Phoenix in the past few years per capital for your major crimes. You'd think they'd want to pay the security forces a little better for the jobs they're being asked to do.

I have to agree with you on that note. Hell Ive been on the side of armored security delivering cash to banks, and also security in the hospital side of it and even their they dont want to pay you anything. You are out there just like law enforcement protecting property and citizens who visit those locations and your treated like dirt until somthing happens.
