Regina, My experience over the years have proven that you need to go to every security company and put in a application. Word to the wise. Do not wear your Sunday best, and at the same time don't wear your Friday evening outing clothes either. Dress conservatively , neat and professional. Do not come across as a know it all but as someone that is willing to learn and ready to work. The more available you have for hours and the better your transportation is, the better your chances are. Good Luck.

Regina,It may be worth your time to pursue professinal certification through ASIS International, they have three certification routes CPP,PSP,PCI. One of thse my be right for you. I have searched for jobs on line that require CPP, PSP certification and the pay is not bad. There are other oganization the will certified you in Loss Prevention and Security this is just one of them. Certification or Education could help you in your search for the right job for the right pay.Brian Brown
