Nab exam

I just registered to take the nab exam next week. Does any one have any advice for me? I am really nervouse, I have heard it is very hard. Does anyone have any study info to email me? email lberry45@hotmail.com

Get a NBA study guide (book and disk/online) from the web site. Go on line contact Joe Townsend, he is one of the authors of the Nursing Home Administrators book (blue book), he has a study group (1 week) he offers $400. I would look up adminstrators in LA, he is an administrator in that state. I took his study group 6 years ago, it is great!If you cannot reach him, email me at jason_jones829@yahoo.com.

I do work at a assistant living facility and im half way with my B.A. Im thinking about doing the recommended course that the State approved and then I can do my AIT program. My question is how hard is it to find a nursing home in Indiana that offers the AIT because i will have to quit my job and be jobless for 8 months and I only have enough money to last me about 9 months. 2months for the course and 6 months for the AIT so I really dont want to struggle with finding a nursing home that offers the AIT. Anyone with advice and please tell me if its worth quiting my job for 8 months. I really want to be a HFA.

I have taken the NHA (federal) twice and cannot seem to pass. Some questions from the first test were on there and it was hard to decipher if I should go with the original answer I chose the first time. Please help me figure out where I need my focus to be. I used the NAB book, and it had a study guide you could use online. It's really not that bad, long of course but pretty much straight forward. I thought the state test was harder.

I recently took the NAB and missed 12 questions - I did the online practice tests from nabweb.org - I would recommend those to anyone taking the test. They are 75.00 but well worth not having to repeat the test

hello all, i just signed up for this forum. first off, my hat is off to those of you who have passed the 1st time around. ive taken the test a couple of times and i still can not pass. i dont know what im doing wrong. my scores have been very close to passing but just off by several questions. i have the blue nab book, an 800 ? text from james e allen, and 4 sample tests from a few years ago. i have completed an ait program about 10 months ago and i'm currently an executive director for a private company in wv with an emergency permit. looking to find sample tests from anyone who can help. my email is n2imports02@aol.com

What is the blue NAB book? Is this the same one referred to as the The Townsend book? There is another one I have found that lists Buttero as the author but I don't think this is the same one. Can anyone confirm my suspicions on this last point? Where can I find the Townsend book? Thanks

Along with the practice tests, I also read The Nursing Home Administrators Book. The practice tests are only examples of what may be on the test. It would be helpful for you to also read additional information. And yes, I agree with everyone it is a hard exam and I have an MHA.
