OK, some background. I had a short but fairly sweet career for a little (under five years real career but three years during school I also had some relevent work expereience) before having my son. I did have a part time job for two years up until this summer but nothing that would really go towards work experience other than the fact that I did do something. I am expecting to start in an entry level administrative assistant type position, no high expectations although I would like to work for a company where I can actually learn something so the jobs I am actually applying for are jobs I really do want. 2. I also need help wording things so that it isn't "I" throughout the cover letter. I don't know why I am having so much trouble with this. Here is an example paragraph: "I have over eight years of business, customer service, and administrative experience including over three years in a supervisory position. I have a proven ability to succeed, effectively prioritize workloads, and work under deadlines with little or no supervision. Extremely proficient with PC and Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access, I have always learned new software quickly and while with *****, I self taught MS Access and developed and maintained the database of students and executives. I have excellent organizational skills and am extremely detail oriented. In addition, I have worked on numerous projects including a large fundraising campaign for the ****** and a computer software conversion project for *******." Thanks in advance! |
