Rehire Job Application

I was laid off from my company ( that's based in Colorado) in January. They put me on company paid unemploment and continued paying my health insurance. Now they're going to bring me back, but they had me do a New Hire physical, which included a drug screen. I passed. Now, I'm being asked to fill out another employee application. They didn't let me go, what gives here ? Any idea's or suggestions ? I also have an ESOP with them and I've been told by them that they don't have to make distribution for a year and even then, they won't give me a lump sum that I can roll over into an IRA. They said they will make monthly distributions. Sounds kind of fishy....

Go with the flow if you want to keep your job.
ESOP are different from 401(K)'s so consult with a financial advisor or do the research online, they maybe within guidelines. The last thing you want to do is rock the boat.

In this economy, this is not the time to make waves or gumble. Go with the flow. Be thankful you're getting a paycheck, hopefully at a decent wage.
