I am looking at making a career transition from being a electrical/mechanical technician in the machine building & manufacturing sector. The new opportunities that are looking very probable are: becoming a wind turbine technician (starting with education at an accredited wind turbine technician academy with certification) or becoming a nuclear power plant operator.

I realize relocation away from Michigan, USA is a reality. But what are other pros & cons for these occupations in either or both of these industries? Looking forward to your input.
