What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable?

How does Medco Health Solutions stack up against the competition?

This company is by far the Worst company. I am a meber and they force you in to doing a mail order and when the doctor writes a prescription for Generiac they fill it name brand and charge you triple and send it out without the common courtesy of calling you and they do not refund it even if you send it back. I am very upset and I am sure there are a lot of other members that this is happening to . What a way to make money...

This is totally false. I am a Medco Pharmacist and we never send out Brand when the prescriber writes for generic, unless no generic exists. We can't call patients all day when we fill approx. 40,000 Rx's per DAY! If your doc screws up, it's not our fault. We are a pharmacy, NOT an insurance company. It's your INSURANCE co. who forces you to use Medco, not Medco! We do our best to serve our patients and our clients. Know how the system works before you blame Medco!

I do have to agree with Mr.Dave L. I work for Medco, I am a Prescription Benefit Specialist and this is a total misconception. I also train classes for Medco Health Solutions. First off, let address the issue of "Medco forcing you" to doing a mail order. It is your choice and your call if you would like to try Medco by mail or stay at your retail pharmacist. It also is at YOUR doctors' permission if they want to put you on an alternative/generic or keep you on the brand name medication. Your health insurace company decides what type of mail pharmacy is availible to you, as another option you have availible at your disposal to save you MONEY! You get usually a pretty good amount of savings for your scripts and fewer copays a year! You have mentioned the price trippled? Hmm.. well at Medco you are getting a 90 day supply with FREE shipping and handling, your medications come in a timely matter, and this not only saves you time and money, but it is an overall convienience. Also, there is no contractual oblication stating that you HAVE TO stay with Medco. You can always go back to the Pharmacy.

I agree with Dissatisfied in South Carolina. Medco sent me a letter stating that if I bought my migraine medicine Treximet again at retail (CVS) that I would have to pay 100% that if I wanted coverage, I had to order via mail-order. So I did, not knowing my doctor would change the med. Now, I am stuck with 3 months of Treximet I paid $150 for and they refuse to refund me for the 3 unopened boxes! I should have asked them what I would do if my doctor changed my medicine regimen.

Whats infuriating is when I call to return the med and get robotic responses offering me no solution but to keep the boxes and just suck it up that I wasted $150. What do they care, its only MY money. Mail-order should NOT be threatened this way, it is NOT a 'choice' they kept mentioning. Its not a choice when told you otherwise will have to pay 100%.
