KBR & Passports

My husband got an interview call on 3/4/09, however he didn't have a passport, so we expedited it ASAP! We didn't receive and were not able to fax it until 3/16/09. I reviewed KBR's career postings the jobs are no longer listed, and we haven't heard from them.

What are his chances of KBR contacting him? He is a prior army mechanic.Any comments would be appreciated! :)

My husband faxed his passport etc. in the 2nd of March and was expecting to hear back from them on getting his packet he needed to fill out. We haven't heard a word from them. Called but no one answers phone. Looked today and the job they wanted him for is now off the site. I couldn't even guess how long it may be that any of us hear from them.... if ever. It doesn't look to promising with the other companies, Fluor and Dyncorp either who have contracts there.

I just wish they would let some of us know something. I'll keep everyone in my prayers and hope something happens for all of us.

Uh-oh! It appears as though I may be in the same boat as the both of you: I was given a phone interview in late February and paid for expedited delivery of my Passport, but didn't receive it until 03/19, which was still in line with the time frame for receiving the document from the Passport Agency; and then I emailed a copy of it to the KBR recruiter on that same date.

Just a few hours prior to when the Passport arrived, I sent an email to the recruiter stating that I would have receipt of the Passport on either the 19th or the 20th, but then got an "OUT-OF-OFFICE" automated reply indicating that the recruiter would not be available until Monday, 03/23. The email suggested that I could contact another person listed there; and I did that, but never received a reply back from the person.

I wasn't too worried about it until a few minutes ago (just before finding this discussion thread) when I went into the KBRjobs.com website and noticed that ALL THE JOBS otherwise listed in the "Transportation" category under the subcategory of "Heavy Truck Drivers" had been eliminated. There is not ONE SINGLE truck driving job listed there.

So then I immediately found myself a little concerned, since I have had to necessarily question how they would plan on hiring me for any position that is not currently listed on the job site. But I still mostly figured that the job offer would come through, since the recruiter had written to me during the first week of March and stated that they were planning on having me processed through the system by the end of March.

Now, of course, I am - "HERE" - reading these postings from both of you, which makes me seriously concerned that the deal will quite possibly fall by the wayside. I guess all I can do is hope to hear back from the recruiter in fairly short order, and/or to call and leave a message in the hope of a response.

Rugged Man.. I also got a call ,expedited passport and just got it 3/20. I believe we were "shut out" for a time being...... NEW people.... get a passport asap because a call may come rather quickly. Preperation is good!

Im waiting on my $200 expedited passport now. She told me to email it to her when it got here. Now the job is no longer posted. Looks like I may get fuct too.
